In August, I was blessed to photograph this beautiful couple, Lyric and Gianni, while visiting an awesome, photography friend in Washington State. We traveled to Mount Baker, 30 miles east of Bellingham to the base. Then we journeyed another hour up the switchbacks to this beautiful site. Mount Baker is mainly used for recreation (skiing, hiking, scenic views). It has so many beautiful views with an elevation of 10,781 feet!

Gianni and Lyric love this mountain. Mount Baker includes portraits and epic views for Gianni. He has been skiing on it since he was a young boy and now they ski there together. Gianni also works on Mt. Baker. Their wedding was held at the gorgeous White Salmon Lodge which is a ski resort on Mt. Baker about 10 miles south of the International border with Canada. The ski area is home to the world’s greatest recorded snowfall in one season (1,140 inches/95 ft) recorded during the 1998-99 season!  Mt. Baker enjoys the unofficially highest average annual snowfall of any resort in the world (641 inches/53.4 ft). It is known for numerous challenging routes and backcountry opportunities surrounding it. The backcountry is accessible from chairlifts.

It was evident that Lyric and Gianni are deeply in love and this photo session only enhanced their love for each other and this area.
