I was recently scrolling through instagram and a place called ‘Cottage At The Ridge’ popped up in my feed. This Airbnb home was recently completed and is located a few miles from where I live in Spring Hill, TN. I reached out via instagram to tour the property and take some photos for this blog. The home and land owners, Brad and Rebekah, are from extreme northern parts of BC, Canada. They made the move to Nashville eleven years ago when Brad’s band got a record deal. Brad and Rebekah fell in love with the area and wanted to be close to Franklin and I-65. However, they said they usually find themselves going south to Columbia for home needs and errands.
When I arrived at the home, I stood and soaked in all the grand views. The views from the top of the ridge are incredible! It’s 360 degrees of breathtaking rolling hills and farm land. I decided the first thing I’d do is walk down the steep hill to photograph the pond and its beautiful reflections. Let me say that I consider myself an in-shape person, but the hill is not for the faint of heart. My venture down the hill was much quicker than my venture back up. However, it was 90+ degrees outside with high humidity. Once you’re at the bottom, it’s all about relaxing in the Adirondack chairs, sitting around the fire pit, fishing or continuing to breath in more fresh air and absorb the views. You cannot go wrong with any of those options.
Once I entered the home, the air conditioning felt ah-maz-ing! The home has a cottage – yet modern contemporary feel to it with a Scandinavian flair. It’s bright from the natural window light. You don’t have to be outside to take in the scenery. Almost every part of ‘Cottage At The Ridge’ offers the same views inside as outside. My favorite part is you can see the sunrise and sunset. Brad supplies the fishing poles and the firewood.
This property would be excellent for a family get-a-way, couples weekend, a small business or creative retreat or an intimate elopement/wedding. If you’re interested in booking ‘Cottage At The Ridge’, you can find it HERE and follow along on instagram at www.instagram.com/cottageattheridge
