Scott and Lauren met at a mutual friend’s house party. Actually, they officially met a year earlier in a bar. They didn’t realize their paths crossed prior until later on. After their friends party, there was no way Scott was letting this beautiful woman go. They became inseparable. Scott would take Lauren out night after night for two weeks straight. Even when Lauren said she had to work the next day and didn’t want to stay out late, he would find something small for them to do together. One night they would go a movie and the next night a restaurant.
Thanksgiving would bring the biggest blessing and surprise for Lauren. Scott and Lauren would celebrate Thanksgiving with her family. As the family was gathered around the table, each person would say what they were thankful for. When it came to Scott’s turn, he turned to Lauren and told her how grateful he was for her and how much he loved her. It was then that Scott got down on one knee and proposed. Lauren said that when she looked up everyone was crying with tears of joy.
They choose to have an intimate wedding at the Cool Springs House. It has a rustic charm that totally fit Lauren’s vision for their day. The night before their wedding, Nashville had torrential rain, wind and lots of trees down. In fact, when Lauren and Scott arrived to the Cool Spring House, there was a massive tree down in front of their ceremony area that had to be chopped and removed. More rain was predicted during the day, but it never came. The storm clouds appeared and the radar showed red on top of the wedding location, but rain never fell. Their day was beyond blessed! Lauren looked breathtaking! She had such a glow on her wedding day.
I always have favorite moments from a couple’s wedding day. The first looks with Scott and her father were the best. They were filled with so much love, tenderness and endearment. I cannot wait to see what the future unfolds for Scott and Lauren. Here’s to forever and ever!
